Battle of the Bo-Tox Brands

There are now several brands of Botulinum toxin available for aesthetic practitioners to use.

Cosmeticnewsuk recently featured an articel about the evolution of botulinum toxin and the recent entrants into this market.

It's now a multi-million pound industry since its results were first discovered by Alistair and Jean Carruthers. Allegedly it took them 3 years to convince their colleuagues and peers of the uses for this, one of the most potent toxins known to man.

It was 2002 before Allergan reached the landmark of becoming the first company to achieve a cosmetic licence for the use of Botox in the treatment of glabellar lines in the US.

I won't go into detail about the various brands in this post but will list them below. More detailed information can be found via cosmeticnewsuk.com or their source theconsultingroom.com.
