Here's a botox story with a different angle from contactmusic.com.
Former HAPPY DAYS star HENRY WINKLER is speaking out about the heath benefits of Botox injections, insisting the medication could have given his late mother a better quality of life after she suffered a stroke.
The actor has joined forces with Botox manufacturer Allergan, Inc. and a coalition of five national patient advocacy organisations, including National Stroke Association and the Brain Injury Association of America to launch a new awareness programme.
Winkler says he signed up as the ambassador for the Open Arms when he learned of the benefits of Botox - and realised the neurotoxic protein was more than just a cosmetic aid to remove wrinkles and frowns.
He explains, "My mother had a stroke in 1989 and she died in 1997 and this new therapeutic use of Botox for upper limb spasticity was not available to her. I know that if it was it would have given her hope back.
"The hardest thing was to watch the joy and the joie de vivre leave; she was a very active woman and all of a sudden it was just like the brakes were put on and never taken off. That was really, really difficult.
"Now, with the openarmscampaign.com, people can find out whether or not they are the perfect candidate for this new therapeutic use of Botox... It's like a gift to the world. It's just a game changer, I believe."
Winkler reveals he has seen what can be achieved when stroke sufferers are injected with therapeutic Botox - and it has "changed their lives".
He adds, "I have met many patients. We were all brought together in New York City. I met a 37-year-old lady from Dallas, Texas who had a stroke a year ago on Valentine's Day and had two rounds of the therapeutic use of Botox and she said not only could she help pull on her own pants but she could reach out her arms and embrace her daughters for the first time.
"If that is the truth and I see that with my own eyes it's really important to look into this therapy."

However not all of Crawford's youthful glow is natural. She has admitted to regularly receiving certain cosmetic procedures, including Botox, collagen, and vitamin injections. She first saw a plastic surgeon at the age of 29.
After turning 40, Crawford said in an interview: "When I was 23, other women could look at me and say, 'Well, she's never had kids.' But now I have and I know what it's like to have to lose baby weight."

Julian Clary
The latest celeb who admitted to having botox is Julian Clary, the double-entendre-loving comedian. On Gordon Ramsay's Cook-a-Long Live broadcast last night Ramsay asked him, during a pre-recorded section, bluntly and received the equally blunt response 'Yes'. And that was that! It was clearly edited but no further comments about it were made.
Gordon's pretty wrinkled- do we think he might be considering?

Leslie Ash - Face to Face ITV
This was a strange programme in that it seemed to start as an investigative programme with Leslie's intention to prevent individuals receiving the kind of poor practice that she received several years ago. However, as it progressed she 'arranged' a botox party (don't you think it odd that they were all happy to be on camera??). Her point seemed to be that people are so keen to attend that they'll ignore the practitioner's credentials. In actual fact it seemed to be that the attendees were so keen to be on camera they ignored anything!! I wonder what the invitation said?- 'Come to a party and have free champagne and be on television and we'll discuss botox!!'??? Funnily enough despite her ordeal over the last few years, when asked if she'd had botox, she clearly intimated that she had!
As it continued she attended a training centre for beauticians and the programme seemed to spend more time showing this place than the training centre for doctors and nurses!!! She actually said that the medical training was in a different league.
By the end of the programme she was in full support of cosmetic treatment and referred to her friend Toyah Wilcox who's career was said to have been boosted since having treatment at the age of 50.
If there was any conclusion to this convoluted journey it was that she'd recommend getting treatment from an experienced medical practitioner.
In my view, from watching the programme, I'd also recommend finding one with skin experience. This one comes highly recommended- http://www.dermalclinic.co.uk/dermal-clinic-about-us.html

Simon Cowell Botox
In the August issue of the U.K.'s Glamour magazine, the barb-tongued American Idol judge cops to getting regular Botox injections. "To me, Botox is no more unusual than toothpaste," the 48-year-old said. "It works, you do it once a year – who cares?"
He's also spoken about it on the BBC's Top Gear programme advising presenter Jeremy Clarkson to 'get some work done' as he looks so old (according to Cowell).
I know many celebrities have treatments. I wonder if they use http://www.dermalclinic.co.uk/botox-scotland.html ?

Which celebs do you think have had botox?
This is where we'll start a blog to suggest celebs who've we think may have had it, we'll analyse the facts and their pictures, and then we'll make a decision. (Obviously, this is only our opinion!!)
To help us decide there's a site called www.botoxinjectionscotland.blogspot.com which may give us some information on how to tell!
